Reviews

"This place is delightful, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The roof deck is amazing." -- Annie L. New York City, NY

"I love this (cottage)! I’ve been to Wellfleet before and visited this area regularly but never got a chance to stay here until now. I’m looking forward to staying again in the future - and would like to check out the other cottages in the area! I appreciated all of the suggestions we received about dining and the direct path to the Cedar Trail - it was extremely helpful! We didn’t get to do Great Island but I’m looking forward to coming back and tackling that - Armand’s feedback was helpful in making sure we’re prepared for it. Overall the entire process and the place were perfect - we enjoyed the roof deck and the easy access to Maguire Beach. Going in the off season is my preferred time to visit the Cape so this has been a great experience because of the low crowds. We walked to the Boulangerie, Cedar Trail, and the beach itself so having these nearby was definitely great instead of driving everywhere. Overall really looking forward to coming back!!"-- Sana H. "The cottage was the perfect spot for a quiet escape from the city. We loved that it was the off-season, where we took walk along the quiet beach nearby and were able to still enjoy the fireplace at night. The roof deck was a great spot to spend an afternoon with a bottle of wine after being out all day. Armand was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations on food and nice walking paths. Would definitely stay at this adorable beach cottage again!" -- R.D. New York, NY

“Location, location, location. Beautiful spot with that classic cape feel. Thanks so much, great place!” - B.D. Raynham, MA

"Surf Rider is in a beautiful setting and with it's corner lot is one of the more private cottages in the complex. There's a glimpse of the ocean from the roof deck, but even better is stargazing to the sound of ocean waves (it's a v. easy walk to the beach). The furniture is a little worn but everything is extremely clean and comfortable. Armand is a friendly, knowledgeable host who clearly loves the area. I live on the Cape but some distance from the National Seashore and it's a treat to be out that way. I'm looking forward to my next stay!" --A reviewer from Falmouth, MA

"The service was great. Armand made a sincere effort to make our stay enjoyable. Immediately upon arrival we were given an orientation in person about the area and the many activities that were worth checking out. He went the extra mile to make himself available anytime we had a question or needed anything. In communicating with him before the actual trip he was always very professional, prompt, and more importantly polite which made it a big seller for my group. The home was wonderful too. It was just the right size for what we were looking for and was very, very clean when we arrived. The interior walls were wood which gave the cottage a warm feeling too it. Though it was really a one level cottage, the floor is elevated three steps to reach the bedroom and bathroom which makes the cottage seem larger than it is. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and cups, etc. and the appliances seemed like they were bought within the last year or so. The roof/deck was also a great feature as you could see the ocean from it as well as the front bedroom if the trees swayed just the right way. The location of the cottage in relation to the beach and other attractions on the Cape are what sell it best. A little dirt path leads you to the beach in less than 5 minutes. It's also about a half an hour away from Provincetown which was a great area to shop in and do some site seeing. Once you get on the beach you can walk down to Marconi or up along the coast for some other attractions. I'd have to say what we liked the best was the location. Again - I can't over stress how close it is to the ocean while still being less than 5 minutes drive to the general store, Cumberland Farms, and even a packie. What we liked least was that despite having 3 bedrooms there was one bathroom. Even though we only had 4 people staying in a cottage that could accommodate 6 people comfortably, the single bathroom made the morning routine a bit difficult." -- bodaciousbassist, IL
