This is the second year that we have stayed at Silver Sands and I absolutely love this cottage. I thoroughly enjoy starting my day sipping coffee on the screened porch and taking an afternoon outdoor shower coming back from the beach. It is just a stroll down a sandy path to the beach. The cottage is furnished with wonderful cooking accessories to enjoy a meal or barbeque. The cottage is very quiet and quaint offering all the essentials for a relaxing vacation. Armand and Lisa, the property managers, are available to answer any questions and have made our annual vacation wonderful, year in and year out! —Anne

Armand, the property manager, is GREAT. He was so helpful and friendly and wonderful, a true gem of a man who really CARED about our stay and showed up within minutes of our landing to make sure everything was going well. Armand also knows everything about Wellfleet and sadly, I didn't get the best clams recommendation until our last day there. The cottage was clean, comfy and charming - so much attention to detail, from the Cape Cod guides on the mantle to the kids' games in the living room to the fan by my daughter's bed. The place just felt like a home that someone truly cared about and cared for. Wellfleet is the best place on Cape, hand's down. I've always wanted to vacation here and it was everything I expected in terms of the perfect Cape Cod vacation. The ocean and bayside beaches, the weather, the sand, the quiet. Falling asleep to the crash of distant waves, the smell of the ocean. The best part about our vacation was the quiet. This place was silent after 9 p.m. I wanted that silence more than anything - and this cottage delivered. We have been coming to Surfside Cottages, specifically to "our vacation home" Silver Sands for 30 years. We vacation there twice a year in June and September, and cannot imagine going anywhere else. When the cabins became condos we got a new owner who has made many very agreeable changes, with terrific furnishings in and outside the cabin. We love the porch, and when it is a little cooler we enjoy the deck chairs in the side yard. The cabin is a quick walk to the most beautiful beach in the world! You could not find a better place to relax, (but you can't have our cabin!) Armand the manager is wonderful and informative, and I don't think there is much he doesn't know about the area and things to see and places to go. You can't go wrong planning a vacation here in the National Seashore.--Paula
