This is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath ranch-style cottage (no stairs) just over 200 steps from the top of the sand dune that leads down to a majestic ocean beach of the Cape Cod National Seashore.
Bedroom 1 = 1 queen bed. Bedroom 2 = 1 queen bed. Bedroom 3 = 2 twin beds.This cottage offers Wi-fi Internet access but no distracting TV, a working fireplace, indoor and outdoor showers, a screened-in porch, a picnic table and charcoal BBQ outside along with a fire pit.
The remodeled kitchen area has a refrigerator/freezer, a 4-burner gas stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, modern sink with Corian countertops, toaster and a drip coffeemaker along with pots and pans and dishes.
This cottage rents on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis during the summer season. Maximum occupancy is 6.
"I booked the Breakers Cottage on line, so did not know what we would find when we arrived. It was lovely, much better than we expected. The cottage was clean and very cozy, it had everything we needed. Armond was fabulous and gave us many great suggestions for things to do in the area. The beach was down a short path and absolutely beautiful. As it was off season, we were able to walk with our dog on the beach daily. Most of the time ours were the only set of footprints on the sand. My 12 year old daughter and I have decided that Breakers at Surfside Cottages in Wellfleet, MA is the only place we will stay when visiting the Cape, if it is not available...we stay home!" -- Reviewer from Guilford, CT

"The house was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, plates, etc. The location was amazing---200 steps to the National Seashore. "Enjoyed our holiday weekend. Cottage is neat and clean. It is a nice place to kick back and relax! The cottage itself is rustic, simple and in a nice location within 5-7 minute walk to the beach. This particular cottage doesn't have a TV which is great for me who likes to get away from it all...Peace! This place is great for those of us who are not "high maint." types. They are housekeeping cottages so you need to bring your own linens and towels (although I read that you can rent them too) and clean up the cottage yourself prior to check out. This keeps it a good value. The keepers are wonderful at working with you to make your stay enjoyable. This is our 3rd year here and will be back again!" --Suzanne from NY
"We just spent our tenth year at SurfSide Cottage Colonies. If you would like a place to stay where you can truly un-wind, then SurfSide is the place from you. Our cottage does not have a TV -- a detriment for some, but for us, it is a chance to truly get away from it all. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, and the third bedroom has two single beds. You can hear the pounding surf from your cottage since the beautiful LeCount Hollow Beach is only steps away. "We found the "Breakers" to be a delightful, quiet, homey cottage. Everything you needed. Terrific location. The beach is a short walk away and we had it to ourselves in April. Water temperature was 47 degrees when we were there, so we couldn't swim but we had miles of sandy beach for the dogs and kids. The cottage blends into the native vegetation that surrounds it. We even saw a wild turkey run by one morning. Less than a mile to the Cape Cod Rail Trail and to a great new French bakery. We walked or rode bikes to both a couple of times.
